Advanced measurement solution
This system is not only providing real time measurements but is also a framework for development of new distributed DSP algorithms and hence allows for rapid prototyping of new innovation ideas and will enable several advanced functionalities such as state estimation, new protection schemes and control functionalities.
In this use case we will provide real-time and aggregated measurements to the UNITED-GRID tool box applications.
State estimation as compared to direct measurements gives more robust data and has the potential of monitoring the grid with less cost. Also the measurements (states) are more reliable and measurements from defective sensors are ignored by the algorithm.
Using the advanced measurements it should be possible to develop advanced protection schemes, control and metering applications.
